 The Hennessey Venom F5 is a supercar manufactured by Hennessey Performance. Unveiled in 2017 the F5 is the successor to the Hennessey Venom GT. The car is designed and engineered by a team led by company founder and CEO John Hennessey. 


The F5's chassis is made out of carbon fiber while its bodywork is made out of aluminum and composite materials. Its 7.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine produces 1,600 hp (1,193 kW) and 1,300 lb⋅ft (1,764 N⋅m) of torque. The F5 has a claimed top speed of 301 mph (484 km/h) making it the fastest production car in the world.

The Guinness World Record for the fastest car in the world is held by the Bloodhound SSC which reached a top speed of 763 miles per hour (1,228 kilometers per hour) on October 15 1997. The car was driven by British Royal Air Force pilot Andy Green.

The SSC Tuatara is an American supercar manufactured by SSC North America. 


The Tuatara's design is a product of Jason Castriota who was previously responsible for the Ferrari P4/5 and Maserati GranTurismo. 


Unveiled in October 2017 it succeeded the SSC Ultimate Aero as the fastest production car in the world with a top speed of 316.11 mph (508.73 km/h). 


As of September 2019 the title has been reclaimed by the Koenigsegg Agera RS.

The Tuatara's body is made mostly of carbon fiber with aluminum and Kevlar used in areas subject to higher temperatures. 


The chassis is a carbon fiber monocoque with an aluminum honeycomb core. The suspension is double wishbone all around with pushrod-actuated coilovers at the front and rear. The brakes are carbon ceramic discs with six-piston calipers

The SSC Tuatara is a high performance sports car manufactured by SSC North America a US-based company. The Tuatara's top speed is 331 mph (532 km/h) making it the fastest production car in the world as of 2021. 


The Tuatara's engine is a 5.9 L twin-turbocharged V8 that produces 1,750 hp (1,305 kW) and 1,280 lb⋅ft (1,735 N⋅m) of torque. The car has a carbon fiber chassis and body and weighs 2,750 lb (1,247 kg).

The Tuatara was designed by Jason Castriota who also designed the Ferrari P4/5 and the Maserati GranTurismo. The Tuatara's name comes from a species of lizard native to New Zealand.
